To copy contacts and settings between two iPhones of the same version:
1) Plug in the iPhone you wish to copy from and open iTunes.
2) In iTunes, right click the name of the iPhone under the Devices menu and click “Back Up”

3) Plug in the iPhone that you wish to copy contacts/settings to.
4) If the device has not already been synced with iTunes it will give you the option to restore from a previous backup, select which backup you wish to restore to from the drop down list (the most recent will be at the top)

If your device has previously been synced with iTunes you can restore from a backup by right clicking on it under the devices menu and selecting “Restore from Backup…”

5) The phone will then reboot and apply settings (this could take some time, a progress bar is displayed on the phone display) once this is complete, texts, contacts, notes and most settings will be copied to the new phone.

If your phone has been lost/damaged/stolen and you have had to replace it, you can still follow the above steps, from step 3 onwards, as iTunes will have automatically created backups when you previously synced your phone. (Obviously any changes to settings since then will be lost, as will any contacts not backed up to a server, such as exchange)

To copy contacts between any two iPhones:

1) Plug in the iPhone you wish to copy from and open iTunes.
2) On the “Info” tab change the settings so that the contacts sync with your desired account type, then click “Apply” in the bottom right-hand corner.

3) Once iTunes has finished syncing the contacts, plug in the device you wish to add the contacts to and repeat the process, it will then copy across the contacts to your new device.

1) Navigate to www.vodafone.co.uk

2) Sign in using your username and password, or create an account if you don’t already have one.

3) Click “Register your Gateway” in the top left next to the image of the suresignal

4) Enter the postcode for where the Sure Signal will be used and click next

5) Enter The serial number of the Sure Signal, this can be found either on the box, or on a sticker on the rear of the device and a desired name, then select the floor level on which the sure signal is to be situated and agree to the terms and conditions

6) Click “Add Users” IMPORTANT: Make sure all users are added at this stage as Vodafone Partner Services users are commonly unable to add more users due to a bug with the system, this is being investigated but there is no given timescale for a fix.

If more users need to be added VPS has to be contacted with the login details, all the sure signal details and the number(s) you wish to have added, Vodafone will then attempt to manually add the number(s) which can take approximately 48 hours. If you are a 21C Telecom customer, contact us and we will arrange everything for you.

7) Add the names (optional) and numbers for the users you wish to add IMPORTANT: the numbers must be added using the international code, see example below:

8) Click “Submit”, if you fill up all the boxes and still have more users you wish to add, click “Add More” which will give you additional boxes, allowing up to 32 users

9) Check all the details are correct then click “confirm”

10) Congratulations, your Sure Signal is now set up; it may take up to an hour before it can begin boosting your signal.

We are compiling a technical help section to assist visitors in diagnosing and solving common problems associated with mobile phones.

As mobiles become more complicated and SmartPhones more prevalent the number of things that can (and do) go wrong is increasing.

In addition to troubleshooting and problem resolution we will also be adding articles for common tasks which sometimes appear complicated but are, in reality, fairly straightforward when properly explained.

Things like setting up new email accounts on BlackBerry and iPhone together with some of the common problems that arise and how to solve them.

This knowledgebase will be fully searchable allowing you to find the information you need easily when your mobile starts to exhibit signs of problems or when you need further information.

If you have a question that is not answered here please contact us using our enquiry form and we will post the results online in this section.
